We have various sizes for each type of straw:

  • Wheat Straws come in lengths of 14cm and 20cm. The diameter is 3-7mm
  • Reed Straws come in lengths of 14cm, 20cm, and 25cm. We have different diameters; 5-8mm, 9-11mm and 12-14mm. 

Our wheat and reed straws are by-products of wheat production. Once the wheat reaches its maturity stage, the top of the crop is used to make grain and we use the stem to make drinking straws.

Our straws are 100% compostable.  Simply put them in a compost bin and they will break down naturally. We estimate the breakdown time to be between 4-6 months. Our straws will start nourishing the soil from which they originally came from.

Yes, our wheat straws are gluten-free. Gluten and protein are found in the grain but not in the stem. Our straws are perfect for those with a gluten-free diet, and it can be used in cases of gluten intolerance too. 

Our straws are not intended to be eaten. They should be used only for drinking purposes.

Our straws are boiled and washed thoroughly, air-dried, and handled by people with gloves before packing in recycled boxes.

Our straws are free from gluten allergies. However, if you suffer from a wheat, hay, or grass allergy, we recommend you consult a medical expert before using our product.
